We offer individual, couple, and family therapy which provides for the opportunity to discuss issues with a licensed and experienced therapist in a private setting.
The therapist will obtain information about your concerns and assess the client’s social and emotional functioning and recommend an individualized treatment plan that specifically addresses areas of struggle. Treatment plans involve psychological education, recommendations for immediate crisis intervention, and symptoms relief. We stress the development of long-term strategies and techniques aimed at cultivating insight, balance, potential, and true esteem for the client; child, teen, or adult.

How do I start?
As a new client, you may have questions about where to begin and what to expect. The first step is to schedule a phone consultation with us. We will gather some information about your specific needs and concerns, and determine the appropriate level of care for your situation, and match you with a counselor who would be the best fit for your areas of focus and insurance, as appropriate. Intake calls usually take about 5 to 10 minutes and can be scheduled online, by clicking on the button below.
The first session is a time for your counselor to get to know you and your reasons for choosing counseling. There will be some paperwork, and you and your counselor will discuss your goals and plans, review policies and procedures, and confidentiality agreements, and determine the optimal frequency of visits, and schedule your next appointment at the end. The sessions typically take 45-60 minutes. As of the following session, you and your counselor will start to examine the subject matters that brought you into counseling. Often, this involves looking at current behaviors and thought patterns as well as past family or social relationships. Our goal is to take a holistic approach to your counseling, examining all facets of your life.
For best and most effective results, most clients typically choose to meet with their counselor on a weekly basis, although arrangements can be made to meet more or less often, depending on the situation. The counseling process does involve some commitment, as it often lasts, at minimum, about 6 to 8 weeks.
It is important for you to be invested in your care and fully engaged in your healing. At times, the counseling process may bring up issues and feelings that you would rather avoid but it is important to deal with those areas and address the issues openly.
