It can be difficult trusting someone with your precious emotions and experiences. As a licensed professional counselor, Rachel Micu, will assist you in processing your struggles navigating through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, shame, trauma, or unhealthy relationships. Rachel has worked for the past six years assisting individuals with navigating through these identity, mental health, and substance use struggles in group and individual counseling settings. She will support your healing journey by creating a safe, caring, supportive and non-judgmental environment. The work will be difficult at times, but the growth will be worthwhile. She will utilize a variety of techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques. These techniques are utilized to assist you to identify your emotions and thought processes that create unhealthy behaviors. Rachel will assist you in developing healthy coping skills through mindfulness and grounding skills to regulate your emotions and to improve your quality of life. Rachel’s Life Stance is, “With mindfulness, you can establish yourself in the present in order to touch the wonders of life that are available in that moment." Rachel has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Missouri Baptist University. Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri.
