About Margaret “Meg” Verstraete, M.Ed, LPC

As a licensed professional Counselor, Meg Verstraete has over 18 years experience in walking with her clients in their darkest moments. She has celebrated with them in some of their highest triumphs as well, in overcoming and making peace with issues such as fear,anxiety, trauma, learning disabilities, divorce and high conflict co parenting matters, addictions and recovery, eating disorders, grief and depression.
Her expansive and diverse education and certifications help in providing her clients the education, motivation, self awareness, coping skills, self regulation and modification of behaviors that interfere in life’s challenges. In walking alongside her clients, Ms. Verstraete encourages that there is hope for healing and moving forward from situational and often long endured pain of each conflict.
Having several years experience in the educational and group settings of learning disorders and behavior and deescalation intervention skills, Ms. Verstraete is able to provide strategies in assisting her clients living with those social skill and learning matters, that often present in the spectrum of Autism. She helps her clients become aware that through the process of self awareness in conflicts and difficulties, there is growth.
Although as a therapist Ms. Verstraete has experienced addressing such a vast scale of issues, her message to her clients is one of encouragement and hope. Even in dealing with such pain and conflictual matters, life’s chaos and scars of trauma can often transcend and transform each clients’ life into the healing and truly unique story of growth that is was meant to become, for a better quality of living.
