Jerry Marks, PhD, LCSW has been in practice for 25 years and specializes in child, adolescent and family issues. His practice models include cognitive behavioral therapy for treating depression and anxiety, and Gottman’s method for marital therapy. Dr. Marks received his doctorate in Social Work from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He completed the Advanced Child and Family Studies Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center prior to starting his private practice in child and family therapy. He has worked as a director in the non-profit sector managing multi-million dollar organizations; and has worked in the Employee Assistance Program field both as a manager and as a provider including Critical Incident Debriefings for several national companies as a service of EAP. Dr. Marks is currently a board member of the Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has served as the State President for the Missouri Chapter. He is an advocate for children who need services and has helped to create a funding source for the delivery of these services in St. Louis County.
